As someone who works in the food and tourism industry, I often get asked what is my favourite food venue in Sydney.
My general reply is: "Well, it depends on the type of food I want."
As we all know, Sydney is the Capital of Foodies! From deep fried chicken as big as your head, all the way to custom-made caramel apples, Sydney has it all.
But there is one place in Sydney that I always return to, when meeting up with friends or family: Yama Japanese Cafe, located on level 2 of the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney CBD.

This is Japanese fusion cafe has everything you've ever wanted in a cafe: burgers, soup, sandwiches, and cakes. And it also has everything you love from a Japanese restaurant: sushi, teriyaki chicken, udon noodles and, of course, Japanese green tea.
Yama combines these two cuisines to create something amazing. Green Tea Battered Fish and Chips is a fine and interesting example of this.

Yama is a hidden gem within the walls of a Historic Sydney gem, and is this Foodi Host's favourite Sydney Food Venue.
