Delicious, all-vegetarian and vegan meals and sweets are now at your fingertips in Adelaide.

Let Them Eat... is a healthy cafe located at two convenient permanent locations, in Croydon and the Adelaide Central Markets, as well as in pop up stalls around Adelaide. Well-stocked and well-priced, this is one place you will want to visit for some delicious and fresh food and drink options.

Food selections

Let Them Eat... on Queen Street has many brunch and lunch options for you to choose from. Dine-in or takeaway is available, although we recommend dining in to take advantage of the beautiful atmosphere, along the bustling street, usually full of fellow foodies. Catering is another option for businesses, functions, and weddings - you name it. Food options for catering include barbecues (with meat, if required), buffets, finger food, or set menus; the choice is only limited to your imagination.

Outside

Inside the cosy cafe, the furnishings are kitsch, artsy, and intriguingly vintage. We have enjoyed eating both indoors and outdoors, but one inside room in particular allows you to view an array of posters that offer all the latest happenings around Adelaide, including shows, movies and music performances.

Outside

The wide assortment of food includes salads, falafels, quiches, pies, fritters, and much more. Most are heated or toasted to perfection upon order. There are usually lunch specials on offer that include a main item, such as a fritter, and two salad selections. This is a value-for-money way to try out an assortment of their offerings. Of course, there are also daily specials to take into consideration, just to make the final decision even harder.

Food selections

Once you get past the food, it is time to decide on a suitable beverage accompaniment. Coffee is a popular choice, although a range of locally produced soda and juices also caught our eye.

If you haven't heard of StrangeLove's Organic Elixir, make sure that you purchase one with your next meal. Locally made and produced, the elixirs have hilarious descriptions, combined with scrumptious and unusual takes on your everyday flavours. Their cola, for example, is created using an original blend of spices, mixed with a hint of smokiness to send your taste buds reeling.

Outside

So what should you get on your next visit to Let Them Eat...? We highly recommend the haloumi and broccoli fritters, with the lentil, beetroot and risoni, and baby spinach salads as a lunch combo. The fritter comes out nice and hot, with a caramelised onion topping that goes extremely well with all the flavours on the plate. We found this serving enough to share between two, which, at $12 a plate, is a bargain.

Outside

Let Them Eat... should be on your to-do list if you are a foodie who loves fresh, local vegetarian produce that kicks a flavour punch at a great price. Stock up on your favourites and freeze them at home for the perfect last-minute dinner on the couch. We also love their business mantra, check it out in the image below:
