Time: Saturdays at 3pm (Limited Dates)
Duration: 3 hours
Meeting Point: Cnr Brunswick and Greeves Sts
Just minutes north of the CBD by Route 11 trams, discover the eccentric heart of Melbourne.
Named the city's first suburb in 1839, Fitzroy today, is its smallest and most densely populated neighbourhood. Once known as 'notorious' because of its high level of crime and poverty, this eclectic berg is now filled with trendsetting boutiques, eateries, architecture, art and design.
Brunswick Street and surrounds is a mecca for innovative cafes and bohemian bars. With so many to choose from, Foodi has curated a 3-hour rustic ramble with a local guide, who's chosen nothing but the most atmospheric establishments to enjoy some gourmet grub. All set food samples are included in the price, as is a hot beverage. Your host is also a fan of Fitzroy history, so you may even learn something new.
Expect a progressive afternoon of both sweet and savoury treats, including sit-down breaks, culminating in a chance to enjoy a grazing board at a pub where you'll feel right at home. A great opportunity to cap off your tour with a refreshing bevvy (drinks can be purchased at this welcoming licensed venue). You might even wish to stay on for a board game or two.
Foodi dollar value gift vouchers can be redeemed towards this tour.
There will be walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes, and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.
