Beer is an Australian beverage staple, but not many people realise that there is a lot more to beer than meets the eye.
Time: Saturdays 2pm
Duration: 3 hours
Meeting Point: Corner of Park Rd and Railway Tce, Milton
Brewing a beer is a craft, one that many have struggled to learn. A good brew produces a beer with unique characteristics and notes that distinguish it from the rest of the market. This is a chance to see for yourself how craft beer has flourished in recent years.
This tour will take you to different pubs around Caxton Street, known for their selection of craft beers. You’ll have the opportunity to sample the beers they have on tap, learn about the brewing process and meet the owners of each establishment. Throughout the course of the afternoon, you’ll learn how these pubs and their beers have made their mark on the city and contributed to craft beer’s increasing popularity.
You’ll also have the opportunity to sample craft beers from the venues, and learn how each is made and how these affect its characteristics.
There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it. Tour price includes beer samples. Some sharer food is included in the ticket price, but it is predominantly a beer sampling tour.
If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, meeting new people, and discovering new things about your city, Foodi will show you where to start.

It was a very interesting tour where they teach and explain to you the big world behind the brews and the craft beers. We tried some really weird ones that we would have never imagined to try before, so it was really cool! I'm not a super fan of craft beers but I recommend it cause is something different and you get to know more places around the area. 4/5 by Camila Carvajal 28-4-2019

I did it with my son and we both enjoyed it immensely. We were lucky the other two people who booked pulled out at the last minute so we had a very personal tour. James was brilliant - really knew his subject, a great conversationalist and a nice bloke to boot. He's an asset to your company 5/5 by Laurie. Smith 4-2-2019
