Sydney’s food culture is constantly evolving. There are always new restaurants opening or another cafe hiding in the recesses of this busy city. It is also home to some of the best chocolatiers in the country, ready for you to discover them.

This tour is a chance to discover some of Sydney’s best chocolatiers, right in the heart of the CBD. You’ll learn about how chocolate is produced, from a bean on the cacao tree through to the hands of the chocolate makers; and the terminology used by industry experts to describe the taste, smell, and forms of chocolate.

You’ll be able to sample the chocolates at each venue you visit, where you will also learn how the different cacao percentages affect the taste of the chocolate.

You will visit a variety of venues around the city, with a break in between. There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

The tour price includes the sit-down break, and all chocolate tastings on the day. This tour is not gluten or dairy free.

If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, meet new people, and discovering new things about your city, Foodi tours will show you where to start.

It's a great way to spend a Saturday in the City. Gabrielle was a lovely guide who managed our group of 16 very well. We started off with the history in chocolate, the food of the gods. We were treated to historical facts on the Strand Arcade, QVB and recommendations on where to eat. The local chocolatiers in the City were a wonderful discovery. As a local, there are places and alleyways often taken for granted. Went to this tour and saw them with fresh eyes. I can appreciate our guide's enthusiasm in chocolates and found a new appreciation for them. Samples and a free drink were part of the tour. Good value for money.

This was a good event for those who are not that familiar with Sydney CBD as the guide was very good at explaining where we were and what kind of chocolate would be expected at each location.

Tour host was friendly, knowldgeable. Pleases visited were interesting and tour was great value for money. Don’t know how you do it for that ost. Loved the cafe downstairs, which I didn’t know existed, as with most of the other stores. The chocolate strawberry was a 10/10 alone.... Thank you for a lovely day- I will recommend it to friends for sure.
