The history and culture surrounding chocolate has become an art-form that is the epitome of refinement and the height of luxury. Learning to taste chocolate and appreciate its complexity requires a finesse that comes with years of practice.

This tour is a chance to discover some of Brisbane’s best chocolatiers and gain insight into their craft. You’ll learn about how chocolate is produced, from a bean on the cacao tree through to the hands of the chocolate makers; and the terminology used by industry experts to describe the taste, smell, and forms of chocolate.

You’ll be able to sample the chocolates at each venue you visit, where you will also learn the elements of a proper chocolate tasting; the different cacao percentages, and how they affect the taste. Discounts on purchases are also available at a number of the venues.

You will visit a number of venues around the city, with a break in between. The tour price includes the sit-down break, and all chocolate tastings on the day.

There will be some walking on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes, bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it and be sure to bring a bottle of water to replenish yourself between venues.

This tour cannot accommodate gluten-free or dairy-free requirements. Please advise your dietary requirements when booking. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 13 years.

If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, to meet new people, and discover new things about your city, Foodi will show you where to start.

Thoroughly enjoyed it! Especially enjoyed Chocolate Moments. Would have been happy to stop at 3 - 4 places was almost a bridge too far but I still managed to force down a few extra pieces of chocolate ... I'm not a quitter!!! :-D

It was a most enjoyable day. A great group of people and Karen, our guide, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had one hiccup at San Churro when we arrived, it seemed we were unexpected so they weren't ready for a group of 11, even though Karen and emailed them and received a confirmation. We had a long wait while the poor boy that was the only staff member on had to serve customers and make churros for us. Karen was great while we waited and shared information about chocolate and the city and also other tours Foodi do. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes/loves chocolate, lots of tasting along the way and very informative. Thank you.

Karen was a great tour guide and it was very enjoyable but two of the venues did not know we where coming. We had to wait almost an hour before getting served at the first one.

Was great to learn some new facts about chocolate. We were pleasantly surprised to check out two chocolate shops we didn't even know about in Brisbane. And the pace of the tour was perfect.

I thought it was great, educational and tasty. The attitude of the girl working in the Noosa Chocolate Factory was appalling I certainly wouldn’t buy from there because of her. Nothing Foodi Tours have any control over though.
It was relaxing and a great discovery tour of what is available in the city
