The beautiful city of Adelaide is home to some of the country’s best chocolatiers. Whether you’re a visitor to the city, currently hosting visitors, or simply looking for something to do on the weekend, this three-hour tour of Adelaide’s best chocolatiers is a fun, exciting and delicious event to put on your to-do list.

This tour is a chance to discover some of these chocolatiers and gain insight into their craft. You’ll learn about how chocolate is produced, from a bean on the cacao tree through to the hands of the chocolate makers; and the terminology used by industry experts to describe the taste, smell, and forms of chocolate.

You’ll be able to sample the chocolates as you go and learn the elements of a proper chocolate tasting. You’ll also learn about the different cacao percentages, and how they affect the taste. Discounts on purchases are also available at a number of the venues.

You will visit a number of venues around the city, with a break in between. There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

The tour price includes the sit-down break, and all chocolate tastings on the day.

Please note: This tour can accommodate Coeliac/gluten-free requirements on request, but cannot accommodate dairy-free requirements. Please advise your dietary requirements when booking.

You can view a video of this tour on Channel Seven's SA Life.

If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, to meet new people, and discover new things about your city, Foodi tours will show you where to start.

Excellent day. The pace was easy and steady, the tour was relaxed and enjoyable. Variety good, friendly tour. Our guide on the day, Brodie, was clear, informative and friendly. He made a point of speaking to each person and added in some interesting details of Adelaide.

Very good tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, chocolate fix is definitely meet. Tour has a good variety of focus on the unknown local chocolate stores as well as one or two well known places. Would definitely recommend the tour to my chocolate loving friends.

Really enjoyed the tour with Brodie who was excellent. The very best was our visit to Steven ter Horst. His chocolates were divine and his passion for his product was inspiring. Koko Black was a close second. A most enjoyable morning. Thank you.

A fun few hours learning about South Australian businesses and tasting yummy chocolate.

Well paced 2.5hrs. Presenter with lovely but very young and nervous.

Thought it was a bit ordinary, not value for money, we could have gone to all those chocolate places and purchased far more than the samples for far less, why include haighs when you can't go into the store and we stood in the mall with a bag of choc buttons they supplied, also blackeby's was a let down. Tour guides lovely

It was a fun day out and got to experience some new chocolate places I had never heard of before. The hot chocolate was my favourite. Yolanda, the guide, was very good.

Really lovely hosts, Brodie...his first time and Sangini. Both relatable and interactive with group. The chocolate shops visited were great, with Steven ter Horst the best of the bunch. I liked that out of all of the businesses visited he was the only one to interact with the group. I thought the time in some spots would have been better if there was interaction with the owners...however overall I was not disappointed. Found new places too that I didn’t know existed!

Yolande was friendly informative and punctual at all of our stops providing us with some history of Adelaide and chocolate history as well. To walk the tour was important as it allows the group to take in the smaller less unknown chocolate shops.

Yolanda was great informative guide. First four venues were excellent and very welcoming. I think this would still be a great tour without including the last two although I understand the reasoning.
