Finding a place that cooks the perfect steak isn't always easy, and if the most adventurous you've been with steak is cooking a fillet, you're about to be inspired.
The 2015 Pepperjack Battle of the Steaks is kicking off on July 6 and will see restaurants across the country fight it out. It will educate the carnivore in all of us in what it takes to cook a mean steak.
And here's the best part: Australians are encouraged to get involved in a variety of ways.

Diners who purchase a steak and a glass of Pepperjack wine at one of the 450 competing restaurants across Australia can rate their steaks, starting from July 6. Whichever venue scores the highest will be flown to South Australia's Barossa Valley for the finale, which takes place in October.
The finalists will then have their steaks rated by a judging panel, headed by steak expert and meat entrepreneur Adam North.
The winning venue returns home with bragging rights and $30,000.
The promotion highlights the perfect pairing of red wine and beef, especially the Pepperjack Graded wines, which are considered ideally matched with scotch fillet and porterhouse steaks.

There's even a way for people to win their own prize from home. Judge Adam North will also be doing an at-home version of the battle of the steaks competition - where home cooks can tag him on Instagram or Facebook each week, with their steak creations and the technique they used, to have a go at winning a Pepperjack wine magnum.
