A delightful East End Safari Walking Tour of the Adelaide CBD.

Foodi have gathered together the best day safari elements in the CBD to bring you a progressive dining experience.

The East End precinct was originally a self-contained village existing for the East End fruit and vegetable markets and the people who worked in them from the 1860s.

The charm of the East End is becoming increasingly popular across Adelaide, with many hotels, tea rooms and historic buildings offering an array of treats.

This tour will explore some of Adelaide's hidden gems, and in addition to a range of culinary tastes, you'll learn about the art and culture of the city.

You'll visit a variety of venues, each with their own history to tell and samples to share, including a mix of sweet and savoury options. Sparkling wine will be available for purchase at most venues.

Your friendly host will discuss the history of the East End and how the markets closed in 1988 which led the East End one of the most vibrant and exciting parts of the City of Adelaide.

During the tour, you'll also discover the old East End Markets whilst walking through Adelaide's beautiful streets, and finish off along Flinders St on the East End.

There will be some walking involved on the day as the tour progresses from venue to venue, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

The East End Safari Walking Tour cannot accommodate vegan or dairy free/lactose intolerance diets.

A minimum of 4 people are required for the tour to proceed.

Well organised. Very grateful the tour guide decided to go ahead with the tour despite low numbers.

Fun and relaxed. The time went so quickly! It was a great way to take a closer look at places I've walked past for years! There are so many lovely places in the East End. East End Cellars and Howling Owl were wonderful, I'll be back!

The guide was lovely. We thank you for keeping the event going despite there only being the three of us. It was great to go to spots we haven't been before or didn't know about.

It s good experience to learn cultural background of the area and also to know the people that share the same interest in food. The length of the event is suitable.

The venues were really good. I had only been to T2 beore, but itís down here I enjoy going so I didnít mind. Their were generous servings of food and drink at all the venues and the staff were all really welcoming and knowledgeable. Our guide Natalie was really friendly and knowledgeable as well and easy to talk to.

Really liked it and the places we visited. Was great to spend Aubrey's last tour with her coz I've always liked her and enjoyed the 3 tours I've done with her as our host. She's a great Foodi tour guide and I'm sorry to hear she is leaving. Goodbye and good luck Aubrey

It was nice to meet Laura again (for the Brunch tour the week before, I enjoyed meeting with Yolanda again :) ), she brings in a lot of information about the history and art and she is such a foody herself, she loves cooking and eating and having a guide who fully enjoys makes it all the more pleasant.

Well run and timed. Laura was great. Good choice of foods overall.

It was an enjoyable tour and it was great to go to places in Adelaide I hadn't been to before. Anna is very good at her job, experienced and fun. Also the whole booking and reminder process is very good.

I particularly liked the fact that there were only 6 people on the tour. It certainly made it comfortable and ease of conversation. Other foodi tours we have on have been so big it became onerous.

I thought the tour was great.. Some of the stops were interesting, not as high tea like as I thought it would be, deconstruction high tea I think... Over all the day was gorgeous and was a great way to meet new people. Audrey was able to tell us some great facts about the old fruit and vegetable market.

Well organised, friendly companions-and discovering places that we didn't know existed in our own city was a bonus!
