Wine is steeped in culture and history, and South Australia boasts some of the country’s finest vineyards. If you fancy yourself a bit of a connoisseur of wine, or are looking to expand your knowledge, then why not come along and explore Adelaide’s vibrant wine bar scene?

On this tour, you will visit four establishments, chosen for their historical significance and contribution to South Australia’s wine history, and listen to their fascinating stories. You’ll learn more about South Australian wine and take a rare tour both under and above ground dating back to the beginning of South Australia’s history.

There is also the opportunity to taste wine with expert commentary at a number of the venues, and you will be able to purchase samples at a discounted price from the other establishments. Nibbles will be provided.

There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

Tour price includes light nibbles and wine samples at certain venues. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.

If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, meeting new people, and discovering new things about your city, Foodi tours will show you where to start.

Absolutely loved it. Our guide Aubrey, was fun & full of great info about the history of the places. An excellent choice of places you wouldn't normally discover by yourself. Some of them were quirky and the owner of one bar/ restaurant, quite a character! I very much enjoyed this tour and it was a fun way to find out some interesting facts about Adelaide. Audrey was a great guide and it was a pleasure to meet some of her family and friends who were on the tour.

Meeting a variety of people was really great. Everyone was ready to enjoy themselves and good wine added to that. Learning about the history of the venues was very interesting and I didn't know these places existed!

We did this tour yesterday with Jo. The venues were exciting and all unique with a different story to tell. Jo is an excellent host who made the tour a lot of fun, she also has a firm knowledge and interest in wine and the industry. Many thanks Jo!

It was great fun. Met some lovely people and our tour guide Jo was great. Jo had great knowledge of the places we went and even of places that we walked past that weren't part of the tour.

Jo, our guide, was excellent. She told us about history, wine and posed us a couple of tricky questions which got the group working together. Great choice of venues. I particularly liked the fact that personnel at the venues spoke to us passionately about their wine with the tastings. Well done all round, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
