Time: Fortnightly, Saturday 11.00am
Duration: 2- 2.5 hours
Meeting Point: Little Stanley St, South Bank
You’ll be surprised to find how many dessert houses are hidden from sight, each with something deliciously unique to offer. If you’ve an insatiable sweet tooth and would like nothing more than to surround yourself with desserts for an afternoon, then this is the tour for you.
At each of the venues on the day, you’ll have the opportunity to talk to the people who work there. There will be an opportunity to sample at each of the venues and learn more about each dessert: their history, components, and production.
You will visit a number of venues around the city, with a sit-down break. There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it. The tour price includes all dessert tastings on the day. This tour is not dairy or gluten free.
If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, meeting new people, and discovering new things about your city, Foodi tours will show you where to start.
Refund Policy: Full refunds given with 5 days notice. Dates can be changed with 3 days notice.
Please be advised that although we make every effort to ensure that we accurately represent Foodi's service and products, venues are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to make changes to all samples on tours.
Overindulgent yet exotic. I loved how many different cultures featured throughout! 5/5 by Sara Bakker 16-10-2016

Thank you Eddie for taking us on this tour. You were very knowledgeable and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you. 5/5 by Shelley Norton 27-8-2016
Good variety of deserts. Cowch was the favourite. Zeus second favourite. Not so keen on the cupcake place. Not bad, but not a patch on the other 3 venues.
James was friendly and knowledgable. 4/5 by Matthew plant 24-7-2016

It was a great way to experience the different types of dessert places around Southbank. It was also a nice way to meet new people. There were enough samples to go around. 5/5 by Nicki Slater 12-6-2016

Enjoyable experience - fun morning. A little different from what I expected though, in relation to the food choices, perhaps not as dessert like or varied as I imagined. 4/5 by Kerry-Anne Keir 15-4-2016
It was very enjoyable again. 5/5 by Tara INCH 11-4-2016

Excellent! Each venue had a table set up for us, provided water and generous samples of their desserts. We had a great time. 5/5 by Diane Mansfield 21-2-2016

We liked Tim the guide, nice mix of types of dessert. 4/5 by Janelle Bauer 8-2-2016
I was there with my partner and we had Tim as our Foodi Rep. He was very patient with us being late, friendly, charming and entertaining. We were very happy with him being our guide.
The food itself was great. Sweet, but great!
The Husband of the owner of the Cupcake shop was also awesome. Came out and talked about his work for a little bit. Felt really personalised.
First place was the Beach house. The deserts in the larger cup size were gone within seconds as they didn't make enough for everyone to try one, with both my partner and I (plus others) missing out. All of there non-cup foods were plentiful.
People on the tour were generally very friendly. 5/5 by Graeme Bowman 7-2-2016
It was good I particularly like Cowch and Mysweettopia. A nice day pity it was sooooo hot!! 4/5 by TAMARA PRINCE 31-1-2016
