Foodi has gathered high tea elements on this tour to bring you a high tea experience with a difference. You will visit a variety of venues that boast great finger foods, lovely teas, and delicious desserts. Discover the history behind the array of food items offered, and the various establishments themselves.
Learn more about this cultural pastime on this walking tour. Share in the pride and passion behind each establishment, and discover a little something special about your city along the way.
This is high tea with an unconventional twist. Like the tiers of a high tea, each venue you visit will showcase one component of a traditional high tea. One venue may have a lovely tea selection, another may have delicious sandwiches or cakes. By the end of the tour, you will have pieced together the crucial elements of high tea through samples and tastings offered on the day.
You will visit different venues around the city, with a sit-down break at the last venue. There will be time to taste and sample at each venue.
There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.
If you're feeling fancy, you are also more than welcome to wear your best gloves and hats on the day. The tour price includes the sit-down break, and all tastings on the day.
If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, to meet new people, and discover new things about your city, Foodi tours will show you where to start.

Thanks we all enjoyed and as we don't come into Perth often all places was new to us - we will be popping in now sometimes.
We found our host to be informative and helpful 5/5 by unice Robinson 26-4-2016
Alex is a pleasant, friendly and well informed guide. I however was extremely disappointed with most of the venues chosen and the food provided.
Whilst i realise that the aim is to provide an unconventional experience. T,hat does not equate to average/run of the mill. If your aim is to provide an alternative experience dont include photos of traditional, hi teas with fancy china, and 3 tiered plates of fancy cakes. Your photos were misleading. I didnt even get to taste one fancy cake. Dried bits of cut up muffin and tiny tiny scones is not my idea of hi tea.The macaroon was tasteless too. The sandwiches in the first venue were delicious, and it was good to get ideas of other places to visit.
Not in the least worth $65. 3/5 by mary magaraggia 11-4-2016

I enjoyed discovering areas of Perth that I had not been aware of. I enjoyed the number of locations and walking between spots. Enjoyed the tour of The Terrace ( I used to work in that building 20 years ago). Terrace tea and scones were fab. Loved the finale at Trustee. 4/5 by Kate Bone 9-3-2016

Brilliant tour. Alex is an excellent guide with lots of insights in to some quirky dining options in Perth as well as some little known facts about our great city. The food was divine, delicious and unique. The same could be said about the venues which could not have been more different but were all well worth a visit. The walking part was fun - even in the pouring rain!! Highly recommend this tour. 5/5 by Sue Humphries 31-1-2016

Alex gave an excellent talk on the history places in Perth and where we visited, showing us lanes and places I never knew existed today. The four venues were very different in theme and quite unique. Venue 2 with all the tea varieties, fine china and scones and cream was a superb experience (and I am not a tea drinker)! 4/5 by Noella Ross 8-12-2015
