Meeting Point: Corner of Elizabeth St and Little Lonsdale St, CBD.

There are over 140 different cultures represented in Melbourne, which makes this city a culinary hotspot.

As the list of places to eat continually evolves, both travellers and locals alike have countless shops, bars, restaurants and cafes to explore.

To steer you in the right direction, Foodi will guide you around a variety of hand-picked venues where you will find your new favourite places to eat, drink and be entertained.

And for those of you who enjoy the thrill of walking through Melbourne’s bustling laneways, these are also on the agenda, along with a lesser-known route to uncover an unknown dining scene.

Not only will you taste samples at each stop, but your friendly host will also share the venue’s history, as well as snippets of information about the city as you pass by. The walk also travels through China Town between venues.

This tour will finish in walking distance of both Flinders Street and Melbourne Central stations for those catching public transport.

There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

Vegetarian options are available but this tour is not gluten, vegan, nut or dairy free.

You can also view a video of this tour on Channel Seven's the Melbourne Weekender.

We had a wonderful time and Elena was a brilliant guide. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family and look forward to trying an other foodi tour at some stage..

Great way to spend three hours with some special friends and walk off a little of the food and wine! Elena was fabulous - knew what she was talking about and had a lovely way of sharing her insights and passion. Learnt about some real hidden gems.

Very well organised and felt very informed about Melbourne than I did before - went up lanes I had never ventured before and was amazed at all the cafes.

Very enjoyable afternoon

Interesting concept & a great way to be a tourist in our own City. All the venues were new to me & are on my list to return to now. Also opened my eyes further to the prospects of looking in laneways & trying doorways for new & interesting options not on the tourist trail.

Great concept. Good luck with it.

I had a great time on the Food Night Safari through Melbourne CBD! We went to 4 different places that I didn't even know existed and they were all amazing! I have already taken my friends back to one of these places for an amazing Vietnamese dinner 😊 Hannah was a brilliant guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and she made sure the afternoon ran smoothly and that we all enjoyed ourselves! Thanks Hannah & Foodi!

This was without a doubt the best food tour I have been on. The venues were varied and each one offered a fantastic selection of delectable treats for us all to share. Our host was so knowledgeable; not just about the venues that we visited but also the city itself and pointed out dozens of hidden gems, fantastic secret street art and kooky little cafes and restaurants along the way which made our tour simply brilliant. Thank you Foodi!

4 great places visited but the highlight was the alleyways and laneways that Elena took us too.

Tour guide, Elena was great and showed us a lot of interesting places to go that were off the main streets. It was very interesting and nice to meet other people on the tour.

Very good and loved the places we stopped at

Chris was a fun and funky, fantastic tour guide. We found fab places and laneways that we would never have found on our own. The last night had a very loud band playing but Foodi were not to know that.
