Brewing a beer is a craft, one that many have struggled to learn. A good brew produces a beer with unique characteristics and notes that distinguish it from the rest of the market. This is a chance to see for yourself how craft beer has flourished in recent years.

This tour will take you around to three different pubs around Caxton Street, known for the craft beers they brew on site. You’ll have the opportunity to sample the beers they have on tap, learn about the brewing process and meet the owners of each establishment. Throughout the course of the day, you’ll learn how these pubs and their beers have made their mark on the city and contributed to craft beer’s increasing popularity.

You’ll also have the opportunity to sample craft beers from the venues, and learn how each is made and how these affect its characteristics.

There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it. Tour price includes beer samples. No food is included in the ticket price. All participants must be over 18 years of age and bookings are essential.

If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, meeting new people, and discovering new things about your city, Foodi tours will show you where to start.

Please note: that this tour is unavailable on Friday afternoons or evenings.

David was very knowledgeable and it was a great afternoon walking around Milton meeting new people.
5/5 by Brad Lindsay
Our guide, David is definitively a person who is an 'ice breaker' and can make anyone feel welcome among a group of strangers. The explanations from the various publicans on how their brews are made was enlightening and well presented. We sampled about 10 different craft beers thereby introducing a broad spectrum of choice for future occasions.

Really enjoyed it, Anthony was an excellent guide. He was great considering he hasn't been in the job very long.
Very good, and happy to recommend. Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, who managed to introduce members of the group to each other quite well.

I enjoyed it more than I expected - a great afternoon! The tour guide (Dave) did a great job at bringing the group together, and kicking off the icebreakers.

Enjoyable. 3 venues was enough and David the guide made it interesting

Our host really made the tour, his knowledge was fantastic and perfectly timed and not over the top.

A very enjoyable event. Our host Kyla was lovely and mixed with everyone so the whole group felt included. The tour is a great way to interact with people you have never met before and even find out what you may have in common to discuss apart from the great beers we got to sample. For instance :- I was at one time (many years ago) in the army catering corp. and one of the girls on the tour is currently in the AACC so we had things to discuss. Another lady on the tour went to Primary & High School at Eight Mile Plains & Rochedale which is where I have lived for many years so we too had things in common. Great beers, great host, friendly people in the group so what better way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Fun and informative. David has perfect big booming voice for all to hear. He ensured everyone in the group learned about beer, had a great time but also got to know each other.

A very nice way to spend an afternoon. Dave our guide was excellent and was a big factor in making the tour a success. All the tour participants were great company and though I'm only a casual beer drinker most brews were quite palatable with a couple of exceptions. At least I now know what to avoid.
