Duration: 3 hours
Meeting Point: Forrest Place
Perth is home to some amazing chocolatiers. Whether you’re a visitor to the city, currently hosting visitors, or simply looking for something to do on the weekend, this three-hour tour of Perth’s best chocolatiers is a fun, exciting and delicious event to put on your to-do list.
This tour is a chance to discover some of these chocolatiers and gain insight into their craft. You’ll learn about how chocolate is produced, from a bean on the cacao tree through to the hands of the chocolate makers; and the terminology used by industry experts to describe the taste, smell, and forms of chocolate.
You’ll be able to sample the chocolates at each venue you visit, where you will also learn the elements of a proper chocolate tasting; the different cacao percentages, and how they affect the taste. Discounts on purchases are also available at a number of the venues.
You will visit a number of venues around the city, with a break in between. There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.
The tour price includes the sit-down break, and all chocolate tastings on the day. This tour is not gluten or dairy free.
If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, to meet new people, and discover new things about your city, Foodi tours will show you where to start.

My mum and I loved the tour! Alex was an amazing guide, providing interesting facts about the city. We loved Sue Lewis chocolatier. Not only was it fascinating to watch Sue work but her chocolate was incredible and would definitely go back! We particularly enjoyed the information Alex shared about Perth city, constantly recommending different restaurants and bars. 5/5 by Monique Missak 26-1-2016

I have been on many food-based walking tours and I must say that this was one of the best. Not only were we nourished with as much chocolate as one could stomach over a three hour period, all guests received first-hand insight into the chocolate making process and the art behind a good brownie. Alex, our guide, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about her tours. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone! 5/5 by Leigh Dawson 24-1-2016

This tour was great fun! Our group consisted of five 12 year old girls celebrating a birthday and they loved it, especially the chocolate sampling parts! Really great to be taken to some out of the way places that you may not know existed. Our tour guide Alex was delightful. 5/5 by Antonietta Killeen 10-1-2016
We were a group of 3, and we absolutely loved it. We had a small group and not only we learnt a lot about the making process of chocolate, it felt like we were on a day out with friends. The chocolatier we viewed 'Sue Lewis', had a real passion for what she created, and this showed in her 'beautiful' tasting chocolate! It was a great tour and we are excited about the 'high tea' tour we are doing this week!! We also learn't a lot of new things about our city's history, thanks to our great Tour guide 'Christine'. 5/5 by Kevin Dowler 14-12-2015
