Chocolate has never been better.

Time: 10am / 2pm
Duration: 3 hours
Meeting Point: Rundle Park

The beautiful city of Adelaide is home to some of the country’s best chocolatiers. Whether you’re a visitor to the city, currently hosting visitors, or simply looking for something to do on the weekend, this three-hour tour of Adelaide’s best chocolatiers is a fun, exciting and delicious event to put on your to-do list.

This tour is a chance to discover some of these chocolatiers and gain insight into their craft. You’ll learn about how chocolate is produced, from a bean on the cacao tree through to the hands of the chocolate makers; and the terminology used by industry experts to describe the taste, smell, and forms of chocolate.

You’ll be able to sample the chocolates as you go and learn the elements of a proper chocolate tasting. You’ll also learn about the different cacao percentages, and how they affect the taste. Discounts on purchases are also available at a number of the venues.

You will visit six venues around the city, with a break in between. There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

The tour price includes the sit-down break, and all chocolate tastings on the day. This tour is not gluten or dairy free.

You can also view this tour on the SA Life HERE.

If you’re looking for a few hours of fun on the weekend, to meet new people, and discover new things about your city, Foodi tours will show you where to start.

Informative, friendly and yummy. We did not feel rushed and it was great not knowing the locations so you can just relax and follow the leader. Ample samples made this definitely a winner for chocolate lovers.

great to get information about the SA history as well as chocolate making in general. Tour guide was great and had an overall knowledge of SA history and also chocolate history. I know that the cost of the tour has to pay for the guide time, but I was disappointed at what we got to taste, especially at Haighs.

Laura was a great host with so much great knowledge of not only chocolate, but also the history of Adelaide. Danielle was also on our tour and they were both friendly and easy to chat to. I think there really was the right amount of chocolate on the tour, as by the end my Mum and I were at our limit - well done! A great morning and one that I would highly recommend to all my friends and family.

First time attending a Foodi event and we really enjoyed it. Laura's knowledge was excellent and the venues were very responsive. A lovely way to try some things that we wouldn't have otherwise and see things we didn't know were there.

A great tour leader ( Laura ) who knew her chocolate knowledge and also other interesting history of Adelaide . The chocolate shops were good and going to three SA ones which I had not been too . Very generous with tastings of chocolate and the cold ice mint chocolate was delicious . Thank you for a lovely chocolate experience .

The walking tour was terrific. Laura the tour guide was knowledgeable, affable and very engaging. The venues were impressive with one minor glitch which was not the fault of the tour but Laura was going to follow up on it. But thoroughly enjoyable, decadent and worth doing!
