The Asian Street Food tour of Melbourne will introduce you to a variety of Asian food, including Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Malaysian.

Over the years, many cuisines have opened up around the city, due to more people trying and enjoying different tastes. Subsequently, Asian food has surged in popularity, not only because the flavours are so bold and different, but also because it is offered in a relatively economic format.

On this tour, Foodi will guide you around a variety of venues, each with their own delicious samples to share.

If you’re new to this style of cuisine, the tour is a great introduction, and will inspire you to try more. And if Asian food is already a firm favourite of yours, this is a great opportunity to discover more of Melbourne’s hidden gems.

During the tour, your host will educate you on the origin of each food sample, and you’ll also walk through bustling Chinatown and pass the historical Australian Chinese Museum.

There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

San and Tracey were fantastic hosts. The range of restaurants was great and we now have some new food places that we will definitely go back too. It was great to get some historical facts about Melbourne city. Will definitely do other Foodi tours.

San was an excellent guide, with interesting bits of information about Melbourne. Tracey was an excellent hostess, gently helping with questions. I have eaten several versions of Yumcha and Vietnamese food, so the Japanese "pancake" was the only new and interesting food for me and I liked it very much.
